The Brief

I worked for Huumun, a digital solutions agency for the life sciences sector, for over ten years, in both a permanent and freelance capacity. During that time, I had the opportunity to produce work for some of the most prominent pharmaceutical companies in the world, including Pfizer, Abbvie, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sanofi, GlaxoSmithKline, Takeda, Daiichi Sankyo, and many more. The images shown here are a quick snapshot of some of the projects I've worked on as a Lead UI/UX designer during my time at Huumun.

My Role

The role was dynamic, meaning I could be designing emails or social ads one day, whilst the next day I would provide UX/UI design for complex global sites and medical digital visual aids. I was often involved at a strategic level, helping project directors, managers and clients to plan out requirements before the design work commenced and would be involved in the full project lifecycle from strategy and ideation through to the provision of brand guidelines, design systems, and documentation. Due to the legal limitations of working in the pharmaceutical sector, we would work in a hybrid waterfall/sprint process, and I was often called upon to bridge project and team management. It takes a very specific mindset to work in this industry - being able to combine innovative creativity with granular scientific detail. I worked with a range of teams, including design, UX, data visualisation, project management and development.
