The Brief

I worked with Huumun, a digital solutions agency specialising in the life sciences sector, for over a decade in both permanent and freelance capacities. During that time, I delivered work for some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical organisations, including Pfizer, AbbVie, Bristol Myers Squibb, Sanofi, GSK, Takeda and Daiichi Sankyo, among others.

The examples shown here represent a selection of projects delivered during my tenure as Lead UI/UX Designer, spanning global platforms, medical digital visual aids and campaign ecosystems within highly regulated environments.

My Role

The role was both varied and strategically demanding. One day might involve designing email communications or social assets; the next, defining UX/UI frameworks for complex global websites or interactive medical tools.

I was frequently engaged at a strategic level, collaborating with project directors, account leads and clients to shape requirements before design commenced. My involvement typically spanned the full project lifecycle — from early strategy and ideation through to design systems, brand guidelines and comprehensive documentation.

Working within the pharmaceutical sector requires balancing creative innovation with rigorous scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance. Projects often operated within a hybrid waterfall–sprint methodology, and I was regularly called upon to bridge design, project management and cross-functional teams — including UX, data visualisation and development — to ensure clarity, alignment and quality of delivery.
